Altitude: 1,800 m.
Variety: Bourbon, Costa Rica 95
Tasting Notes: Light roast with fruity and floral aromas and notes of guava, pink lemonade, and cream soda.
Carloman lives in and farms in the village of Gracias a Dios (Lonya Grande) in a large family plot of land which is shared by various cousins and uncles. He has a newly constructed drying facility with “raised” beds for coffee drying. This new drying facility was built farther down the mountain next to the river bed, where it rains a lot less and stays more consistently dry throughout the year, which is better for drying coffee evenly, reducing phenol and mold defects.
