This coffee is sourced from small landholders in the Rift Valley in Kericho County and processed at the Boma washing stations. Kericho County is approx. 80 kilometres South West of Kericho town which is home to large tea estates and approximately 150 kilometers from Eldoret. Many factors natural factors contribute to this unique offering. K7 and SL coffee varieties are grown at 1,960 meters above sea level with a consistent rainfall around 1600 mm in rich red deep loam soil. Superb growing conditions coupled with excellent processing methods offers a clean, sharp and bright citrus flavoured cup. The Boma washing stations have around 600 registered members, both men and women. Harvest season is December-February and produce close to 500,000 kgs of cherry per year.
